Biography

Alex Capri is a writer, academic, and global trade expert with more than two decades of experience at the intersection of business, policy, and geopolitics. He is a Visiting Senior Fellow at the National University of Singapore (NUS) Business School and lectures at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, where he teaches MBA, MSc, and Executive Education programs on global value chains, digital trade, and the future of industries. Previously, Alex was Partner and Regional Leader of KPMG’s Asia Trade & Customs Practice, based in Hong Kong and Singapore, and served as Managing Director in both Asia and the U.S. Earlier in his career, he was a trade specialist with the U.S. Treasury Department and the U.S. Customs Service. A Research Fellow at the Hinrich Foundation and a regular World Economic Forum panelist, Alex contributes to Forbes Asia and Nikkei Asia and is widely cited in global media.
